Step 5: Waterproofing and tiling in wet rooms
The focus shifts to bathrooms and kitchens. We apply an elastic waterproofing system to floors and walls. After it dries, our tiling specialists begin precise laying of faience, terracotta, or porcelain stoneware. Step 6: Plastering, flooring, and painting
Walls and ceilings in dry rooms are plastered to achieve the desired smoothness (usually Q3 or Q4). After drying and sanding, the floor coverings (parquet, laminate) are laid. It is laid with a thickness from 35 to 80 mm and is compatible with underfloor heating systems. Faster drying compared to on-site mixes accelerates the entire project.
Epoxy grouting compound Mapei Kerapoxy
In bathrooms, kitchens, and high-traffic areas, we use the two-component epoxy compound Mapei Kerapoxy for tile grouting. Unlike cementitious grouts, it is 100% waterproof, does not absorb dirt, is resistant to acids and alkalis, and does not change color over time. This eliminates the risk of mold and mildew in the joints and ensures easy cleaning and hygiene, which is critical. A guarantee of long-lasting aesthetic appeal.
Silicate interior paint Baumit KlimaFarbe
For the final finish of walls and ceilings, especially in rooms at risk of condensation like those in Varna, we recommend Baumit KlimaFarbe silicate paint. In multi-family buildings, sound insulation is key to comfort. Before the floor screed, we lay Rockwool Steprock HD stone wool panels. With a dynamic stiffness of ≤ 30 MN/m³, they effectively reduce the transmission of impact noise (walking, stomping) to the floor below, achieving an improvement of ΔLw = 26-30 dB. In addition, with a thermal conductivity coefficient λD = 0.039 W/mK, they also contribute to the thermal insulation of the floor.
