What we deliver and which problem we solve
What we deliver
Infra Remonti EOOD specializes in the design and construction of drywall systems, including non-load-bearing partition walls, wall linings, and gypsum board bulkheads. Our activity spans the entire cycle – from precise sizing and installation of the metal frame made of 0.6 mm galvanized profiles, to the fitting of gypsum board panels and the finishing treatment of joints to Q3 quality level. We work in residential, commercial, and industrial sites in Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, and Sofia. Our teams are equipped with professional tools, including Hilti rotary laser levels, profile cutting machines, and specialized drywall screwdrivers, ensuring millimeter accuracy and high productivity. For sites in coastal cities like Varna and Burgas, we mandatorily apply moisture-resistant gypsum board (H2/GKB-I type) and anti-corrosion profiles in areas with increased humidity to counteract the aggressive effects of salt and moisture. We offer solutions tailored to specific requirements for fire resistance (F30 to F120), sound insulation (up to 60 dB), and thermal insulation, using panels of varying thickness, density, and mineral wool.
Which problem we solve
Drywall construction is the technical solution for several key problems in renovation and finishing works. First, it eliminates the need for wet processes to straighten old, uneven brick or concrete walls, which would require the application of thick layers of plaster, long drying times, and generate significant mess. With wall lining, a perfectly flat surface is achieved in days, not weeks. Second, we solve the problem of the need for quick and clean functional division of large spaces in offices or homes. Gypsum board partition walls are installed up to 10 times faster than brick walls. If a professional approach is not used, the risks are significant: crooked walls due to poor construction, joint cracking due to incorrect plastering or structural movements, low sound insulation due to construction gaps, and poor thermal insulation leading to condensation and mold. We avoid these problems by strictly adhering to the system details of manufacturers like Knauf – installation of CW profiles at a maximum spacing of 60 cm, use of acoustic tape under UW profiles, staggering of joints between panels, and three-layer plastering with reinforcing tape. This ensures stability, perfect flatness, and long-term serviceability.

What does our gypsum board installation service include?
Every stage of the process is performed with a focus on precision and the long-term durability of the final result.
Precise tracing with a laser level
We use Hilti rotary lasers to accurately determine the position of walls on the floor, walls, and ceiling. This step ensures that new structures will be perfectly vertical and straight with an accuracy of ±1 mm per 10 meters, which is the basis for a high-quality final result.
Installation of perimeter framework (UW/UD profiles)
We attach the load-bearing UW (for walls) or UD (for linings) profiles to existing surfaces. We always apply self-adhesive acoustic tape under the profiles, which absorbs vibrations and improves sound insulation by 3-4 dB, preventing the transmission of structural noise.
Construction of vertical battens (CW/CD profiles)
We install the vertical CW or CD profiles into the already installed perimeter profiles. We strictly adhere to the planned distance between axes, which is standardly 600 mm, but can be reduced to 400 mm or 300 mm if higher load-bearing capacity of the wall or installation of heavy coverings is required.
Laying mineral wool
We fill the cavity of the structure with mineral (rock or glass) wool with density and thickness specified by thermal and sound insulation requirements. We typically use wool with a thickness of 50 mm or 100 mm and a thermal conductivity coefficient λ ≈ 0.035 W/mK, ensuring a snug fit without gaps.
Sheathing with the first layer of gypsum board
We install the first side of the wall (or the single layer for lining) with gypsum board panels. We use specialized gypsum board screws, which are screwed to a precisely defined depth without piercing the cardboard. The distance between screws is 25 cm as standard.
Running installations inside the wall
We coordinate work with electrical and plumbing technicians. Before closing the wall, all necessary cables, pipes are run, and console boxes are installed. This step allows installations to remain completely hidden but easily accessible for future repairs.
Closing the wall (second layer of gypsum board)
Once the installations are in place, we install the panels on the other side of the wall. We always stagger the vertical joints of the panels on both sides of the wall, as well as the joints between layers in a double-layer lining. This significantly increases the strength and crack resistance of the structure.
Joint plastering - Level Q2 (first stage)
We apply a first layer of joint compound (e.g., Knauf Fugenfüller) and embed a reinforcing tape (fiberglass or paper). This stage is critical for the strength of the bond between individual panels and prevents cracking. We also cover all screw heads.
Finishing joint plastering - Level Q3 (second stage)
After the first layer dries, we apply a second, wider layer of joint compound to fill any unevenness. Finally, we apply a third, even wider and finer layer, which is spread to seamlessly blend with the surface of the board. This Q3 finish is our standard execution and is ready for direct priming and painting with matte paints.
Site cleanup
Upon completion of all assembly and plastering activities, our team collects and disposes of all gypsum board waste, profiles, and packaging. We leave the site clean and ready for the subsequent stages of finishing works.
Our 8-step process for constructing gypsum board walls
We follow a proven methodology that ensures predictability, quality, and adherence to deadlines for every project.
- 1
Step 1: Free survey and consultation
Our technical manager visits the site to take measurements and discuss your specific requirements – wall type, sound insulation level, fire resistance, etc. Based on this, we prepare a detailed, fixed price offer within 24-48 hours, broken down into labor and materials.
- 2
Step 2: Design and tracing of the structure
After approval of the offer, our team precisely marks the location of the future walls on the floor and ceiling using a laser level. This ensures ideal room geometry and right angles, which is critical for subsequent installation of floor coverings and furniture.
- 3
Step 3: Installation of the metal framework
We start with the installation of the perimeter UW and UD profiles. Then, the vertical CW or CD profiles are placed and fixed at 60 cm intervals. All connections are made with specialized metal screws, constantly checking the verticality of each profile with a long ruler and level.
- 4
Step 4: Laying insulation and installations
Mineral wool (e.g., Knauf Insulation Akustik Board) is densely laid in the built metal frame, making sure no gaps remain. At this stage, all necessary electrical cables, plumbing pipes are run, and console boxes for switches and sockets are installed.
- 5
Step 5: Installation of gypsum board panels
We sheath the structure with the selected type of gypsum board (standard, moisture-resistant, fire-resistant) with a thickness of 12.5 mm. Screwing is performed with a specialized screwdriver with a depth limiter to avoid damaging the cardboard covering of the panel, which would compromise the strength of the connection.
- 6
Step 6: Joint plastering (Taping)
This is the first and most important stage of joint treatment. We apply a layer of joint compound Knauf Fugenfüller and embed paper or fiberglass tape, which reinforces the joint. All factory and cut joints, as well as internal and external corners, are treated.
- 7
Step 7: Finishing plastering and sanding (Q3 Finish)
We apply two subsequent layers of finishing filler (e.g., Knauf Sheetrock), with each subsequent layer being wider than the previous one. This achieves a smooth transition of the joint with the plane of the panel. After complete drying, the surface is lightly sanded with P220 sandpaper to achieve a perfectly smooth base for paint.
- 8
Step 8: Final inspection and acceptance
Before leaving the site, we conduct a final inspection of the work performed. With the help of strong side lighting, we check the quality of the plastering for any defects. After client approval, we sign a handover protocol and activate the 15-year written warranty.

Materials we use for drywall construction
We work exclusively with certified system components from leading manufacturers such as Knauf, Technogips Pro, and Siniat, which guarantees compatibility and quality.
Knauf type A (GKB) gypsum board 12.5 mm
Standard gypsum panel for general application in rooms without requirements for moisture and fire resistance. Ideal for partition walls and ceilings in bedrooms, living rooms, corridors. Thickness 12.5 mm, weight ~8.5 kg/m², density ~680 kg/m³. Provides a smooth surface and a good base for subsequent finishing works. Provides basic fire protection (fire reaction class A2-s1, d0).
Moisture-resistant Knauf type H2 (GKB-I) gypsum board 12.5 mm
Impregnated gypsum panel with special green cardboard, designed for rooms with periodically high humidity such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms. Its water absorption is below 10% by weight, which prevents mold growth. Mandatory for use in coastal areas of Varna and Burgas for external wall lining.
Fire-resistant Knauf type DF (GKF) gypsum board 12.5 mm / 15 mm
Panel with glass fiber reinforced gypsum core for increased fire resistance. Used for the construction of systems with fire resistance class from F30 to F120, such as walls of evacuation corridors, shaft walls, metal column linings. Fire reaction class A2-s1, d0. Recognized by the red color of the cardboard.
Steel galvanized profiles CW/UW and CD/UD
The load-bearing structure of any drywall system. We use only profiles with a steel sheet thickness of 0.6 mm, which provide the necessary rigidity and stability of the wall. Thinner 0.5 mm profiles are prone to twisting and do not guarantee longevity. UW/CW profiles are for partition walls, and UD/CD - for ceilings and wall linings.
Mineral wool Knauf Insulation / Fibran
Main material for thermal and sound insulation in the wall cavity. We work with rock or glass wool in slabs or rolls with a thickness from 50 to 150 mm. A key parameter is the thermal conductivity coefficient (λ), which for quality wools is in the range 0.032 - 0.039 W/mK. The material is non-flammable (Class A1) and provides excellent acoustic comfort.
Joint compounds and fillers (Knauf / Semin)
We use system products for joint treatment. For initial joint filling and tape embedding, we use gypsum-based joint fillers such as Knauf Fugenfüller, which have high strength and low shrinkage. For the final layers (Q2, Q3), we apply ready-to-use paste-like compounds such as Knauf Sheetrock or Semin CE 78, which provide an extremely smooth surface and easy sanding.
Where do we apply drywall systems?
The technology is universal and finds application in a wide range of objects and situations.
