    About this service

Ensure the longevity and stability of your fence with professionally constructed reinforced concrete foundations. A fence is only as strong as its base. We build foundations designed to withstand soil settlement, frost, and high wind loads typical of the coastal region. Our prices for standard excavation (40x60 cm), rebar, and C20/25 concrete start from €25 per linear meter. A standard residential project of 50-80 linear meters is completed within 5-8 working days.

What we deliver and which problem we solve

    What we deliver

Infra Remonti EOOD specializes in the design and construction of reinforced concrete foundations for all types of fences – from light mesh to heavy massive stone or concrete walls. Our service is intended for private property owners, residential complex developers, and industrial and logistics zone managers who seek a long-term and secure solution for fencing their perimeters. We don't just pour concrete; we conduct an engineering analysis of soil conditions, calculate loads from fence weight and wind pressure, and design a foundation with precise dimensions, depth, and amount of reinforcement. We work with modern machinery, including mini-excavators for precise excavations in tight spaces and laser levels for perfectly horizonal formwork. Our team adapts each project to the specific regional characteristics: in the Varna and Burgas areas, we contend with high humidity and saline aggression to concrete and steel; in Plovdiv, with clayey and expansive soils; and in Sofia, with a significant frost depth (up to 80-90 cm) requiring deeper and more stable foundations. We offer solutions from classic strip foundations to point foundations (footings) for column structures, guaranteeing compliance with all building codes and providing a 15-year written warranty for structural integrity.

    Which problem we solve

The main problem we solve is the premature failure of fences due to inadequate or missing foundations. Many fences tilt, sag, crack, or even collapse within a few years because they are built on shallow, unreinforced, or improperly poured foundations. This is caused by freeze-thaw cycles that heave the soil (especially in areas like Sofia), settlement of poorly compacted soils, hydrostatic pressure, or insufficient strength to bear the weight of the fence itself. The consequences are not just aesthetic – an unstable fence is dangerous and compromises property security. The cost of repair or complete reconstruction often exceeds the initial investment. Our solution eliminates these risks. By excavating to the design depth (always below the frost zone), using certified C20/25 (B25) concrete with a compressive strength exceeding 25 MPa, and incorporating a properly sized rebar cage of ribbed steel N10-N14, we create a monolithic reinforced concrete element that functions as a single unit and distributes loads evenly to the ground. This ensures that your fence will remain vertical and stable for decades, regardless of soil and climatic conditions, saving you future costs and worries.

What does the "Fence Foundation Construction" service include?

Each stage of the process is executed with precision and a focus on the structural integrity of the final product.

    Geodetic layout and marking

Precise determination of the fence line using a theodolite or laser level according to property boundaries. We mark the exact contours of the excavation, ensuring a perfectly straight foundation, which is critical for the subsequent installation of fence panels or masonry. This step prevents future disputes with neighbors and guarantees correct positioning.

    Machine trench excavation

Excavation work with a mini-excavator to the design depth, typically between 60 and 90 cm, depending on soil conditions and regional frost depth. We ensure a clean and even trench bottom, prepared for subsequent stages. Includes transport of excavated earth to a designated dump site.

    Formwork installation

Construction of double-sided formwork from moisture-resistant OSB panels, hydrophobic plywood, or professional formwork systems (e.g., Doka). The formwork defines the exact dimensions and smooth surface of the visible part of the foundation. It is securely braced to withstand the pressure of fresh concrete without deformation.

    Rebar cage fabrication and placement

Manual or machine tying of rebar skeletons from ribbed steel class A-III (B500B), usually with diameters N10 and N12. The cage is placed in the excavation on concrete or plastic spacers to ensure a minimum concrete cover of 5 cm on all sides, protecting the steel from corrosion. The reinforcement handles the tensile stresses in the concrete.

    Pouring with certified concrete

Delivery and placement of C20/25 (B25) concrete from a certified batching plant. Depending on volume and access, pouring is performed directly from a concrete mixer truck or with a concrete pump. We control the consistency of the concrete (class S3) to ensure optimal filling of the formwork without void formation.

    Concrete vibration

Mandatory treatment of placed concrete with a deep vibrator (poker vibrator). This process removes trapped air and voids from the mixture, leading to concrete compaction, increased density, strength, and impermeability. Proper vibration is key to the foundation's durability.

    Embedding anchor elements

Precise positioning and embedding of anchor bolts, galvanized steel plates, or the fence posts themselves into the fresh concrete, according to the technical design. We use laser levels to ensure perfect verticality and spacing between elements. This significantly facilitates the subsequent fence installation.

    Dismantling formwork and concrete treatment

Careful removal of formwork panels after the concrete has reached sufficient strength (usually after 3-7 days). If necessary, minor irregularities are ground smooth, and protective and waterproofing coatings are applied to the visible part of the concrete to improve aesthetics and resistance to atmospheric influences.

    Waterproofing application

Application of bituminous or cementitious waterproofing (e.g., Sika Igolflex-101) to the sides of the foundation that will be in contact with the soil. This step is essential to protect the reinforced concrete from groundwater moisture and aggressive chemicals in the soil, thereby preventing rebar corrosion.

    Backfilling and cleaning

After the foundation has fully cured and been waterproofed, the trench is backfilled with earth or drainage material. The work site is completely cleared of construction debris. We hand over the site ready for the next stage – installation of fence panels or masonry.

Our 8-step process: from site visit to finished foundation

We follow a strict quality protocol at every stage, ensuring predictability and a reliable end result.

    1. 1

Step 1: Free site visit and consultation

Our technical manager visits the site to assess the terrain, access, and soil conditions. We discuss your requirements for the fence type and height. Based on this information, we provide an initial consultation on the most suitable foundation type and a framework budget. This step is completely free and does not oblige you to a contract.

    2. 2

Step 2: Engineering design and quotation

We prepare a detailed technical design for the foundation, including exact dimensions (width, depth), concrete class (min. C20/25), and reinforcement specifications (diameter and bar spacing). Based on the design, we prepare a final price quotation with fixed prices and deadlines. The quote includes all materials, labour, and machinery.

    3. 3

Step 3: Layout and excavation works

After signing the contract, our team performs precise site layout. Immediately thereafter, machine excavation with a mini-excavator begins. The depth is continuously monitored with a laser level to adhere to the design elevation and ensure adequate frost protection. The excavated soil is deposited or removed.

    4. 4

      Step 4: Formwork and reinforcement

We install the formwork panels, bracing them securely. The pre-fabricated rebar cage is placed in the prepared formwork, positioned on spacers to ensure concrete cover. All rebar connections are securely tied with rebar wire, creating a solid steel skeleton.

    5. 5

Step 5: Concrete pouring and vibration

We arrange delivery of certified concrete from a batching plant. The concrete is poured evenly into the formwork. Immediately thereafter, each section is meticulously treated with a poker vibrator to remove air bubbles and achieve maximum density and strength of the concrete. We embed anchor elements with high precision.

    6. 6

      Step 6: Curing and maintenance

Over the next 3 to 7 days, the concrete undergoes a critical process of hydration and strength gain. In hot weather, we keep the surface moist by spraying with water or covering with polyethylene film to prevent excessively rapid drying and cracking. No loading of the foundation is permitted during this period.

    7. 7

Step 7: Dismantling formwork and waterproofing

Once the concrete has reached the necessary strength (usually over 70% of the design strength), we carefully dismantle the formwork. We clean the foundation and apply a waterproofing coating to the sides that will be in contact with the ground to ensure long-term protection of the reinforcement from corrosion.

    8. 8

Step 8: Backfilling and site handover

We perform backfilling around the finished foundation, compacting in layers if necessary. The construction site is completely cleared of any debris. We conduct a final inspection with the client, sign a handover protocol, and activate the 15-year written warranty for structural integrity.

Guaranteed quality materials for durable foundations

We use only certified products from leading manufacturers to ensure the strength and longevity of every foundation we build.

    Concrete class C20/25 (B25)

This is the standard for load-bearing reinforced concrete elements. This concrete class has a characteristic compressive strength of 25 megapascals (MPa) on the 28th day. We work with leading batching plants in Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, and Sofia, which guarantee the quality of the mix and the water-cement ratio. Higher strength ensures resistance to loads from heavy fences and soil pressure.

    Reinforcing steel class A-III (B500B)

We use hot-rolled ribbed steel according to BDS EN 10080. The ribbed profile provides much better adhesion to concrete compared to smooth steel. Diameters vary from N10 to N16 depending on the project. This steel has a yield strength of 500 MPa and absorbs tensile forces that concrete cannot withstand, such as bending moments from earth pressure.

    Waterproofing materials (Sika, Mapei)

To protect concrete underground, we use bituminous pastes like Sika Igolflex-101 or cementitious elastic waterproofing like Mapei Mapelastic. These products create a seamless membrane that prevents moisture and aggressive salts from the soil from penetrating the concrete, protecting the reinforcement from corrosion, which is especially important in the saline climate of Varna and Burgas.

    Formwork systems and panels

For larger and more critical projects, we use system formwork from Doka or Peri, which guarantee perfect geometry and a smooth surface. For smaller sites, we use high-quality moisture-resistant plywood (18-21 mm thick) or OSB-3 panels, which also provide the necessary strength and resistance to repeated use and water contact.

    Crushed stone drainage layer

Under the foundation itself, we lay a layer (10-15 cm) of compacted crushed stone with a fraction of 20-40 mm. This layer has two functions: it interrupts capillary rise of moisture from the soil into the concrete and provides water drainage, reducing the risk of heave due to freezing. This is standard practice for quality foundation work.

    Chemical anchors (Hilti, Fischer)

When installing fence posts to already cured concrete, we use two-component chemical anchors like Hilti HIT-RE 500 V3. These systems create an extremely strong, non-disassembly connection between the rod and the concrete, without creating internal stresses, unlike mechanical anchors. They have high load-bearing capacity and are ideal for heavy structures.
