What we deliver and which problem we solve

    What we deliver

Infra Remonti EOOD specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of all types of roofing sheet metal elements. Our activity covers the full cycle – from precise measurement of the site, through consultation for selecting the most suitable material (galvanized steel, polyester or Plastisol coated sheet metal, copper, titanium-zinc), to the fabrication of elements in our workshop and their final installation. We work on new roof structures in sync with other construction teams, as well as on existing roofs requiring repair or full replacement of sheet metal components. Our teams are equipped with professional tools, including mobile bending machines (press brakes), allowing us to make adjustments and fabricate complex details directly on site. We serve clients throughout Bulgaria, with a focus and constant presence in the cities of Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, and Sofia, adapting our solutions to the specific climatic conditions of each region – from the aggressive salt mist along the Black Sea coast to heavy snowfall and ice formation in the interior of the country. Our goal is to deliver not just a product, but a complete engineering solution for water drainage and building protection.

    Which problem we solve

The main problem we solve is preventing water penetration into the building through the most vulnerable areas of the roof – joints, edges, and intersections with other elements. Poorly executed or aged sheet metal work is a direct cause of serious damage. Corroded flashing around a chimney leads to leaks that wet and destroy the wooden roof structure (beams, rafters), compromise mineral wool insulation, and cause mold and stains on ceilings in living spaces. Clogged or improperly installed valleys cannot handle heavy water flow during intense rain, leading to water overflowing under the tiles. In coastal areas like Varna and Burgas, using ordinary galvanized sheet metal without a protective coating leads to rapid corrosion (within 3-5 years) due to salty air. We solve this problem by using materials with high corrosion resistance such as Plastisol-coated steel or aluminum. For areas with harsh winters like Sofia and mountainous regions, we design and install elements to withstand snow and ice loads, preventing ice dams from forming on eaves, which can damage both gutters and the building's facade. Investing in quality sheet metal work today saves thousands of Euros in subsequent structural repairs.

What does our sheet metal services include?

Every element is custom-fabricated and installed with a focus on long-term functionality and aesthetics.

    Chimney Flashing

Fabrication of a multi-component system for waterproofing the transition between roof and chimney. Includes a base apron, side flashings, back flashing, and a counter-flashing (water collar) to drain water running under the tiles. Each element overlaps correctly to guarantee 100% watertightness even in strong wind and rain.

    Valley Installation

Installation of metal channels in areas where two roof slopes meet. We use full sheets of metal with a width of 50 to 100 cm with a central rib to prevent overflow during heavy rainfall. We ensure a minimum overlap of 20 cm and secure the elements outside the main water path to avoid potential leaks.

    Gable Wall Flashing

Sealing the connection between a pitched roof and a vertical wall. We fabricate and install 'step flashing' elements under each tile and a top covering flashing, cut into and sealed to the wall, to completely stop lateral penetration of wind-driven water.

    Fascia and Verge Board Capping

Fabrication of metal 'casings' for wooden fascia and eaves. This procedure completely protects them from moisture, sun, and rot, eliminating the need for periodic painting and maintenance. Elements are bent with precise edges for a perfect aesthetic appearance and snug fit against the wooden base.

Drip Edges (Eaves Drip & Underlay Drip)

Installation of metal profiles along the roof edge under the tiles/membrane. The eaves drip guides water directly into the gutter, preventing runoff and wetting of the fascia board. The underlay drip protects the wooden structure of the eaves and provides a finished look to the roof edge.

    Ridge Cap Installation

Installation of metal or ceramic caps along the ridge (the highest part) of the roof. We offer standard and ventilated ridges, which allow the roof structure to 'breathe', expelling moisture from the attic space and extending the life of wooden elements and insulation.

    Snow Retention Systems

Installation of snow retention systems, especially important for steeper roofs and metal coverings. We install point snow stoppers or linear snow retention grids to prevent uncontrolled sliding of large snow masses and ice, protecting gutters, vehicles, and people below.

    Flat Roof Parapet Wall Capping

Fabrication and installation of metal caps onto concrete or brick parapet walls of flat roofs. This flashing protects the top of the parapet from weather, stops water penetration into its structure, and protects it from damage due to freezing and thawing.

    Specialized Custom Flashings

Design and fabrication of non-standard flashings for all types of roof elements – dormers, roof windows (Velux, Roto), ventilation pipes, solar panels, and others. Each element is custom-made after precise measurement to ensure full compatibility and absolute watertightness for specific penetrations.

Removal and Disposal of Old Sheet Metal

Safe removal of all old, corroded, and defective sheet metal elements from the roof. Includes careful dismantling without damaging the main roof covering, collection of all debris and waste from the site, and their transport and disposal for recycling or utilization in accordance with regulatory requirements.

    Our 8-Step Implementation Process

We follow a strictly defined procedure to ensure quality, precision, and full transparency at every stage of the project.

    1. 1

Step 1: Technical Inspection and Measurement

Our technical specialist visits the site to conduct a detailed inspection. Precise measurements are taken for all flashing areas – lengths, angles, chimney perimeters. An assessment is made of the substrate condition (wood, concrete) and potential problems are identified. Detailed photographic material is prepared. This stage is critical for preparing an accurate quote.

    2. 2

Step 2: Consultation, Material Selection, and Quoting

Based on the inspection and your preferences, we consult you on the advantages of different materials – economical galvanized steel, versatile polyester sheet metal, or highly durable Plastisol, as well as premium options of copper and zinc. We present color samples from the RAL catalog. We prepare and send a detailed written quote with a price breakdown within 48 hours.

    3. 3

Step 3: Preparation of Working Drawings (Cutlist)

After approval of the quote, our engineering team creates detailed computer drawings for each individual element. These drawings describe the exact cutting dimensions, bending locations, and angles. This digitization of the process eliminates the possibility of human error and ensures that each element will fit perfectly in place.

    4. 4

Step 4: Cutting and Bending in the Workshop

The drawings are sent to our workshop, where the sheet metal is cut on a hydraulic guillotine and bent on a programmable digital press brake. Machine processing ensures straight lines, precise angles, and repeatability of elements, which is impossible to achieve with manual tools on site. Finished elements are packaged and prepared for transport.

    5. 5

      Step 5: On-Site Substrate Preparation

Before installing new elements, our on-site team prepares the substrate. This includes complete dismantling of old flashings, cleaning surfaces from dust and dirt, inspection of the hidden wooden structure or concrete, and if necessary – performing minor repairs such as replacing rotted boards or filling cracks.

    6. 6

Step 6: Installation of Sheet Metal Elements

Installation of factory-made elements begins. Each element is positioned and affixed to the substrate using special screws with EPDM rubber seals, which compensate for thermal expansion and prevent corrosion. A strict order of installation and correct overlapping are observed to ensure proper water drainage.

    7. 7

Step 7: Sealing of Joints and Critical Points

All joints between individual sheet metal sheets, intersections of different elements, and the perimeter around fasteners are sealed with high-quality, elastic polyurethane sealant (e.g., SikaFlex-11FC). This material remains flexible and resistant to UV rays and temperature changes, unlike ordinary silicone, guaranteeing airtightness for decades.

    8. 8

Step 8: Final Inspection and Water Test

After completing installation and sealing, the team leader conducts a comprehensive visual inspection of the work performed. Every detail is checked for compliance with the project. If possible and necessary, a controlled water test (hosing) is performed on key areas such as valleys and chimney flashings to simulate heavy rain and confirm 100% watertightness.

Why choose Infra Remonti for your sheet metal work?

Our work is characterized by technical precision, quality materials, and a guarantee of long-lasting results.

    • We use machine bending for every element in our workshop, ensuring ideal geometry and a perfect fit, without improvisation on site.
    • We fix elements only with screws with EPDM seals. They do not rust and provide an elastic, watertight connection with the sheet metal.
    • We standardly work with sheet metal of 0.50 mm thickness, not the thinner 0.40 mm, for greater strength and resistance to bending.
    • For Varna and Burgas, we strongly recommend sheet metal with 200µm Plastisol coating, specially designed to resist salty air and UV radiation.
    • Every chimney flashing we install explicitly includes a "water collar" and a rear counter-flashing for 100% protection against water ingress under the tiles.
    • We guarantee a minimum 20 cm overlap of sheets in valleys to ensure unobstructed water drainage even during the heaviest rains.
    • Our mobile teams are equipped with portable press brakes to perform fine adjustments and complex details directly on site when needed.
    • We provide a 15-year written warranty, covering not only the material (against corrosion) but also our labor (against leaks).
    • We seal all joints with premium polyurethane mastics like SikaFlex-11FC, not cheap silicone, which degrades in 2-3 years.
    • We precisely calculate the necessary material quantity, so you only pay for what is actually used, with no unnecessary expensive waste.
    • We coordinate fully with roof constructors to integrate our sheet metal work at the exact technological moment.
    • We also offer fabrication of elements from copper or titanium-zinc (VMZINC) for buildings with high aesthetic demands and a desired effect of centuries-long durability.

    Materials We Use

We select only proven materials that guarantee the longevity of the execution and meet the specific needs of the project.

    Galvanized Steel Sheet Metal

This is the standard and most cost-effective material. We work with 0.50 mm thick sheet metal with a zinc coating of 275 g/m², providing good corrosion protection for a period of 10-15 years in normal climatic conditions. It is suitable for the interior of the country (Plovdiv, Sofia) and for projects with a limited budget. Not recommended for coastal areas.

    Polyester/Plastisol Coated Sheet Metal

The most popular choice, offering an excellent balance between price and quality. Polyester coating (25 microns) is standard protection, while Plastisol (PVC) coating (200 microns) is up to 8 times thicker and provides exceptional resistance to mechanical damage, chemicals, and salt corrosion. Available in the full range of RAL colors. For Varna and Burgas, Plastisol is a mandatory choice.

    Copper Sheet Metal

A premium material with a practically eternal lifespan (over 100 years). We use copper sheet metal with a thickness of 0.55 mm. Copper requires no maintenance, as over time it forms a natural greenish patina that protects it from corrosion. Extremely malleable, it is ideal for complex architectural details and restoration of historic buildings. Its price is significantly higher.

    Titanium-Zinc Sheet Metal (VMZINC®, Rheinzink®)

High-tech material preferred in modern architecture. An alloy of zinc, titanium, and copper, it has a lifespan of 80-100 years and the ability to 'self-heal' from minor scratches, forming a grey-blue matte patina. Available in various patinated finishes (e.g., Quartz-Zinc®, Anthra-Zinc®). Requires special installation techniques, as it must not come into contact with certain materials.

    Colored Coated Aluminum Sheet Metal

Aluminum is extremely lightweight and completely corrosion-resistant, making it an excellent choice for coastal areas. We work with 0.7-1.0 mm thick sheets with a durable polymer coating in various colors. Due to its greater thermal expansion, the installation of aluminum elements requires specific fixing techniques allowing for movement.

    Polyurethane Sealants (Sikaflex®)

A critical component for the system's longevity. We do not use silicone. We work exclusively with high-quality one-component polyurethane sealants (SikaFlex-11FC or equivalent), which have adhesion to metal up to 1.5 N/mm² and elasticity over 600%. They remain flexible, are unaffected by UV rays and temperature fluctuations, ensuring constant airtightness of all joints.
