What we deliver and which problem we solve

    What we deliver

Infra Remonti EOOD (UIC 207950548) specializes in professional porcelain tile installation across all classes and formats — from 9 mm technical porcelain to large-format thin slabs 6 mm with lengths up to 280 cm. We serve sites in Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv and Sofia with our own crews of 4-6 qualified tilers, a technical supervisor and a dedicated logistics specialist for large-format slabs (which require vacuum frames for handling). We install porcelain tiles indoors and outdoors — residential floors, bathrooms, kitchens, terraces, swimming pools, facades, common areas, commercial properties and industrial floors. For each project we prepare a layout schematic to minimize waste, indicate installation direction relative to natural light (especially important for matte stone-imitation surfaces) and mark the starting line with a Bosch GLL 3-80 laser level. For sites over 200 sqm we provide a dedicated shift supervisor who controls the open time of adhesives, trowel notch depth and tightening of the leveling clips.

    Which problem we solve

Porcelain stoneware is among the most unforgiving floor coverings — its low water absorption (under 0.5%) and weight up to 35 kg/sqm at 12 mm thickness mean that any preparation or adhesive selection error leads to debonding, cracking or visible 'lippage' between tiles. The most common defects we eliminate: 1) Hollow sound when walking — caused by incomplete back-buttering on formats over 60x60 cm. The solution is mandatory double-coating with 10 mm trowel. 2) Microcracks in tiles after 6-12 months — caused by stress under floor heating and inappropriate non-flexible C2 class adhesive. We use only S1/S2 class adhesives (Mapei Kerabond + Isolastic, Ceresit CM 17). 3) Visible level mismatch on large-format tiles — unavoidable without a professional leveling system; we use Raimondi RLS with 3 mm clips and adjustable-pressure wedges. 4) Moisture and mold development in joints in bathrooms and terraces in Varna — solved with two-coat cementitious waterproofing Ceresit CR 166 in cross directions plus reinforcing mesh in corners. With a 15-year written warranty we take responsibility for all these risks.

What does the porcelain tile installation service include?

Full technological cycle from substrate preparation to final cleaning and handover with warranty.

    Measurement and layout schematic

On-site we use a rotating laser level to measure substrate deviations in both directions. We prepare a detailed schematic indicating start line, offset direction (1/3 or 1/2 for plank imitations), positions of expansion joints for areas over 25 sqm and waste optimization under 8% for large-format tiles.

    Substrate preparation and leveling

For unevenness over 3 mm/2 m we apply self-leveling compound Ceresit CN 76 (for thicknesses 1-15 mm) or Mapei Ultraplan Eco. Beforehand we apply contact primer (Ceresit CN 94) on non-absorbent substrates or deep-penetrating primer (Ceresit CT 17) on dusty cementitious screeds. We wait 24h for drying.

    Waterproofing (wet and outdoor zones)

For bathrooms, shower areas, terraces and balconies we apply two coats of two-component cementitious waterproofing Mapei Mapelastic or Ceresit CR 166 with total 2 mm thickness. In all corners and around drains we embed Mapeband waterproofing tape, for full water tightness compliant with EN 14891.

Bonding with C2TE S1/S2 adhesive and double back-buttering

For formats above 45x45 cm we apply adhesive on both substrate (10 mm trowel) and tile back (6 mm trowel) — known as 'back-buttering'. This guarantees 100% contact without air pockets and eliminates hollow sound. For outdoor sites and floor heating we use S2 class adhesives (Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1, Ceresit CM 17) to absorb thermal expansion.

    Raimondi RLS SVP Leveling System

For each square meter of large-format tiles we place 4-6 cap clips and corner wedges. The system locks adjacent tiles in perfectly level position while adhesive cures (24h), eliminating the so-called 'lippage' — the main visible defect of poorly installed porcelain. After curing the wedges are knocked off with a rubber mallet.

Precision 45° cutting (mitering) for outside corners

For outside corners on stairs, pilasters and podiums we cut tiles at exactly 45° with a Montolit Masterpiuma water-cooled machine + Sigma diamond blade. This allows seamless joining without visible PVC or aluminum profiles, which looks significantly more premium for stone or marble imitation porcelain.

Hole cutting with diamond core bits

For plumbing outlets, sockets, switches and spotlights we use Bosch and Tyrolit diamond core bits with diameters 6, 35, 45, 70 and 100 mm. We work with water cooling to avoid heating and cracking the tile. Holes are positioned with a template before bonding to preserve schematic symmetry.

Grouting with flexible cementitious or epoxy mixes

After 24-48h adhesive curing we fill joints with Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic (cementitious, water-repellent, in 32 colors) or Mapei Kerapoxy Design (epoxy for pools, spa, kitchen backsplashes). Epoxy grout is fully non-porous, chemical and stain resistant, ideal for high-hygiene zones.

Siliconing of corners and expansion joints

All inside wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor corners, connections around bathtubs, shower trays and sanitary equipment are sealed with high-elastic Mapei Mapesil AC sanitary silicone, color-matched to the grout. For outdoor terraces and areas over 25 sqm we form expansion joints with PVC profile filled with Sika Sikaflex polyurethane sealant.

    Final cleaning and handover protocol

Tiles are mechanically cleaned of adhesive and grout residue with diluted acidic Mapei Keranet (for cement grout) or special epoxy solvent. We dispose of all construction waste at a regulated landfill. The site is handed over with a bilaterally signed acceptance protocol and 15-year written warranty certificate.

    Our 8-step work process

From the first phone call to handover with warranty — every step is documented and controlled by a technical supervisor.

    1. 1

Step 1: Free site survey and laser measurement

Within 24-48 hours of inquiry our technical specialist visits the site in Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv or Sofia. Performs measurements with a Bosch GLM 50 laser distance meter, evaluates substrate condition, presence of floor heating and existing utilities. Documents specifics like narrow access or no elevator, which affect the price for large-format tiles.

    2. 2

Step 2: Quote preparation and layout schematic

Within 2 working days we send a detailed written quote with line-item breakdown — labor per sqm, preparation, waterproofing, adhesive, grout, silicone, disposal. We attach a layout schematic in DWG or PDF showing tile direction, hole positions and waste optimization for the specific room dimensions.

    3. 3

Step 3: Contract and 30% advance

Upon approval we sign a contract with fixed prices, deadlines and warranty terms description. The 30% advance covers material purchase (adhesives, primer, waterproofing, grout), schedule slot reservation and rental of specialized equipment for large-format tiles (Sigma Klick vacuum frames).

    4. 4

Step 4: Substrate preparation and leveling

We dismantle the old flooring if needed (€8-12/sqm extra). We clean the substrate with industrial Karcher NT 70/2 vacuum. For unevenness over 3 mm we apply self-leveling compound 3-15 mm thick, spiral-rolled with spiked roller for de-aeration. We wait 24-48h for full drying.

    5. 5

Step 5: Waterproofing in wet and outdoor zones

We apply two coats of two-component flexible waterproofing with brush or roller, total 2 mm thickness. Between coats we wait 4-6h. Along all corners and around plumbing outlets we embed waterproofing tape. We perform a 24h water column test to verify tightness before tiling.

    6. 6

      Step 6: Porcelain tile installation

We start from the pre-marked starting line with 100% level control via laser. We bond with double back-buttering and place SVP clips and wedges at every corner. For large-format tiles we work in pairs with vacuum frames. Daily pace: 15-25 sqm for large-format, 30-40 sqm for standard 60x60.

    7. 7

Step 7: Grouting and 40% interim payment

After 24h curing we remove SVP clips, clean joints with a tiler's knife from excess adhesive. We fill joints with the chosen mix and after 15-30 min the excess is washed off with a damp sponge. At this stage 40% of the contract value is due upon signing the work completion protocol.

    8. 8

Step 8: Siliconing, cleaning and handover

The next day we silicone all corners and connections. We clean with diluted acid to remove cement residue. We hand over the site with a detailed protocol, maintenance instructions (no aggressive acids, no abrasives) and a 15-year written warranty certificate. Final 30% payment is made after signing.

Why clients in Varna and the region choose us for porcelain tile?

We have over 15 years of experience with this exact material — and equipment most installers don't have.

    • We work with professional Sigma Klick vacuum frames for large-format tiles 120x280 cm — without them the breakage risk during handling exceeds 30%.
    • We mandatorily apply Raimondi RLS leveling system on every sqm — eliminates 100% the risk of lippage even with warped tiles from the same batch.
    • We use exclusively C2TE S1/S2 class adhesives (Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1, Ceresit CM 17) — the only ones approved for porcelain with floor heating and outdoor conditions.
    • Precise 45° mitering with Montolit Masterpiuma allows us seamless outside-corner assembly without ugly PVC or aluminum profiles.
    • Bosch GRL 600 rotating laser controls substrate flatness under 1 mm/2 m — a necessary requirement for joints under 2 mm.
    • We provide a 15-year written warranty backed by Professional Liability insurance — not generic verbal promises.
    • Our prices are per square meter, fixed in the contract, with no hidden fees for cutting, holes or complex layouts (diagonal, herringbone).
    • We work with our own crews on employment contracts, not subcontractors — quality is under direct supervision of a shift technical leader.
    • We carry General Liability insurance for site damages up to €100,000, covering accidental incidents during work.
    • In coastal areas of Varna and Burgas we always apply waterproofing under outdoor porcelain — salts and acid rain destroy ordinary cement substrates within 5-7 years.
    • We deliver materials directly from Mapei, Ceresit and Tondach warehouses — without middlemen, with VAT invoices and conformity certificates.
    • After completion we dispose of construction waste at a regulated landfill with receipt — important for sites in condominium management.

    Key materials and system components

Quality porcelain installation starts with the right adhesive, waterproofing and leveling system.

Porcelain Tile – Technical Class BIa, water absorption <0.5%

We install all leading brands on the market — Italian (Florim, Marazzi, Atlas Concorde), Spanish (Porcelanosa, Roca, Pamesa), Portuguese (Love Tiles) and Serbian (Tondach Keramika). Thicknesses range from 6 mm (thin slabs for walls and light flooring) to 20 mm (for outdoor terraces on gravel, without adhesive). We recommend BIa class with water absorption under 0.5% for outdoor conditions and BIIa for interior rooms.

Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1 and Ceresit CM 17 Adhesives

Both adhesives are benchmarks for porcelain. Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1 is C2TE S1 class with 2.5-5 mm deformability, low dust emission, 30 min open time and 45 min adjustment time. Ceresit CM 17 is C2FTE S1 (rapid-set), ready for loading after 4h, ideal for fast-track sites. Both meet EN 12004 requirements.

    Raimondi RLS Leveling System

Italian system of single-use clips (4-6 per sqm) and reusable PVC wedges. The clip is inserted under two adjacent tiles, the wedge is pressed sideways with pliers releasing pressure at 800-1000 N. After adhesive curing the wedges are knocked off with a rubber mallet, the clips remain under the joint. Cost: €0.40-0.60/sqm consumables.

Mapei Mapelastic / Ceresit CR 166 Waterproofing

Two-component cementitious waterproofing membranes with high polymer content. Thickness for full protection: 2 mm in two coats. Elongation at break over 30%, crack bridging up to 0.75 mm. Applicable on concrete, screeds, drywall. Certified per EN 14891 and DIN 18534. For pools we always add fiberglass mesh between coats.

Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic / Mapei Kerapoxy Grouts

Ceresit CE 40 is a cementitious grout with microcrystals for water repellency, available in 32 colors, joint width 1-10 mm. Mapei Kerapoxy Design is an epoxy grout for high-hygiene zones (pools, kitchens, spa, hospitals), fully non-porous, resistant to 60+ chemicals, color-stable for years. Labor cost for epoxy grouting: +€6-8/sqm.

    Montolit, Sigma and Bosch Tools

For cutting and mitering: Montolit Masterpiuma 75/93 (manual guillotine for tiles up to 100 cm) and Sigma 8E Klick Klock (for large format up to 320 cm). For wet cutting — electric machines Rubi DU 200 EVO with Sigma diamond blade for porcelain. For holes — Tyrolit and Bosch core bits with diameters 6-100 mm. For substrate leveling — Bosch GRL 600 CHV rotating laser with receiver.
